Dr. McCracken completed his initial education from the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina in 2006 where he studied general dentistry. He then moved to Dallas where he completed an advanced education in general dentistry (AEGD) post graduate residency at Baylor Hospital. From there, practiced general dentistry in North Myrtle Beach for 6 years and gravitated towards the cosmetic side of the profession which translated over to his passion for orthodontics.
After his years of practicing general dentistry, Dr. McCracken went on to join one of the top clinical residencies in the country at the Montefiore Medical Center in NYC where he completed and received a certificate in orthodontics and dento-facial orthopedics in 2017. Since then, he has treated thousands of orthodontic cases across the state of Texas in a variety of diverse settings before moving back to South Carolina where his family resides.
Thanks to his vast clinical experience and professional journey, Dr. McCracken is more qualified than your average orthodontist. He has in depth knowledge of orthodontics, general dentistry, and oral surgery, allowing him to take a multidisciplinary angle in the astute approach of every case. He has an energy and love for the profession to provide a life changing service for patients of all ages.
Some of his hobbies include soccer, surfing, travel, golf, outdoors, and fishing.
